Dogwood Volunteer Information


PLEASE CONTACT if you are interested in volunteering

Please review duties below and be one of our many volunteers (2 hr minimum-more if desired). Those volunteering between the hours of 11am to 1pm will be entitled to a meal ticket for a lunch from the Golf House Grill. New volunteers get a shirt, juniors also get a hat. Juniors who need service hours can earn them by working the tournament.

Options for the tournament:

  • Tuesday, June 4: Player and AM-AM Registration: 8:00 am to 1:30 pm (provide information to the players and sponsors,
requires attention to detail and a smiling face)

  • Wednesday June 5 thru Friday June 8: 7:30 am to 3 pm

  • Golf Shop assistant (answer phones, direct visitors, answer questions from visitors and members, 
requires a smiling face and knowledge of golf course and procedures in the golf shop is helpful)

  • On- Course Spotter (watch the ball when hit by the player at the Tee and help locate their ball, 
requires golf experience and physical agility and good eye sight) 

  • Drink Cart/Volunteer transportation (distribute volunteers and attend to their needs during the shift, 
requires golf experience and experience as a course spotter)

  • Scoring tent (sits under a tent at #9 and #18 to assist players with accuracy in adding their score, 
requires elementary education in math)

  • Scoring Runner (carries the score card from the scoring tent to the data entry person in the golf shop, 
must be able to do stairs, ideal for juniors!) 

  • Score computer data entry (enter player scores into computer, requires use of computer and attention to detail)

  • Scoreboard Posting - write scores on leader board, 
requires good handwriting, attention to detail, and physical stamina to stand and reach)

  • Saturday, June 9: 7:30am to 2:00 pm 

  • Same as above but also includes

  • Standard Bearers: carrying of the sign with tournament leaders names and score 
(must be able to walk the golf course carrying a sign weighing 10lbs, knowledge of golf required)
